School Life

Buddy Program

Student life at St. Stephen Catholic School is full of opportunities for students and parents to feel a part of the community. Our students collaborate across grade levels and learn to appreciate the gifts and talents God has given everyone. Elementary students participate in weekly clubs, and middle school students choose a weekly elective. Also, there are many events throughout the school year that build friendships and community. Some examples of special events students and families may attend include:

  • Back to school meet and greet
  • Weekly Mass
  • Harvest Festival sponsored by the student council
  • Trunk or Treat
  • Field Day
  • Movie Nights
  • Clubs and electives
  • Sports
  • Student leadership through student council and National Junior Honor Society
  • Academic competitions such as Scripps Spelling Bee, the National Geographic Geography Bee, and the Diocesan STREAM Fair
  • Field trips and class trips

Middle School House System

Middle school students are sorted into houses on the first day of school each year.  Houses consist of a mix of students from grades 6-8, where students have opportunities to serve our community as well as build leadership in our school.
